You cannot register through the registration module after the registration deadline. You have to manually register through the registration module. Furthermore, in cases of a No Show, you will not be automatically registered for the resit. More information on the OER and R&R can be found via the Examination Board and on the OER Bachelor and OER Master pages. Whether this counts as an opportunity depends on the Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER) and Rules & Guidelines (R&R) of your programme and/or faculty. Please note: if you are registered for a course/exam but do not take part and do not deregister in time, you will be assessed as a No Show. For exams and resits, deregistration is possible until 1 week before the exam.
For courses, deregistration is possible until the first week of the start of the new period. Please deregister on time! Once the deregistration period is closed, you can no longer deregister. You will then be automatically deregistered for all parts of the course, such as the lectures, tutorial groups and the exam. After deregistration, you will receive a confirmation in your VU email. Select the course in the registration module and click "deregister". If you do not want to participate in a course, please deregister before the deregistration deadline. In some cases you will be registered by the Educational Office of your faculty or you cannot register for courses and/or groups yourself. For Medicine students, different rules may apply, see below under 'Different registration procedure per faculty'. The above does not apply if your course entry and result registration do not take place via the VU. Planning does not mean you are registered for the course! You still have to register for the courses once the registration deadlines are open. Click on 'Plan a course' to plan courses for that specific period. Select your programme and the academic year. You can however plan courses for later periods and study-years. Please note! You can only register for periods of which the registration has been opened. If you received a No Show for your exam, you will not be automatically registered for the resit. After you have selected your study programme and academic year, you can register per period for courses within your study programme. Please keep the check mark if you want to participate in the exam. If you sign up for a course, you will be signed up (automatically) for the exam (default). You can register for courses via the registration module. Timely registration guarantees participation in courses. Please note! Each period has a fixed registration and deregistration deadline within these deadlines you can register and deregister for education.
